TALIS 2024 – The OECD Teaching and Learning International Survey. Preparing for the main study

The Educational Research Institute is conducting the fourth edition of the Teaching and Learning International Survey – TALIS 2024 – in Poland. The project is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. TALIS is initiated and organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

TALIS is the largest international research project on the organisation, methods and conditions of working in schools. The survey collects information and opinions about the determinants of teaching and learning from the perspective of teachers and school leaders. More than 50 countries are participating in TALIS 2024.

The Educational Research Institute has already started working with the institutions selected in a draw for the survey in Poland – 280 elementary schools from all regions. Participants in the survey are principals and teachers of grades V–VIII. The selection of schools and teachers for the survey is random, and follows international procedures applicable to all countries participating in TALIS 2024.

The TALIS survey is conducted in accordance with all international research procedures, and regulations on the protection and processing of personal data are observed. The data collected is confidential and the results are anonymized. Participation is voluntary, but only the participation of all drawn schools guarantees the reliability and representativeness of the survey results.
